I really love that everyone has very differing tastes when it comes to their Christmas decor and also a very different idea of what’s defined as corny. But what better time to lean into whatever makes you feel warm and fuzzy. I like my decorations colourful, a little kitsch, a little folky - not too garish but still fun. Something like this House & Garden scheme from 2022, which is right up my street. I love that collections are built up slowly over the years and I think it’s fun to be selective and just add one or two things every year - Toast and Rowen & Wren always have classy offerings but unsurprisingly, I’m also a big fan of unearthing second-hand decorations and trinkets, from baubles and candle holders to table runners and napkins. I’ve rounded up 20 of my favourites here - you’ll get access to the first 10 if you subscribe for free, the full lot if you’re a paid subscriber. Enjoy!

PS. A quick reminder that I do use affiliate partner links for eBay, which means I take a small commission on any items purchased using these links, but please be assured that I will only ever share things I would purchase myself. In fact, I’m giving you first dibs but lots of these I hope no one buys so that I can go back and get them myself.

First up this Christmas tree candle holder. I’m definitely not over chrome just yet and I think a bit of silver really helps to balance out the slightly more twee decorations.

I love the tradition of a clementine in your Christmas stocking so this Swedish orange table runner felt very apt.

This set of four brass and copper angel candle holders would look lovely on a mantlepiece or dotted down the table, with or without candles.

A wooden holly heart with bells to hang on the back of a door.

I like the simplicity of this metal wire Christmas tree with fairy lights.

A pair of art deco angels - they’re even better for being 36cm high (so not small).

Or for a slightly different take on an angel, this candle holder.

Are we sick of bows yet? I do love this red gingham set for the tree.

Ok last one but I’d keep this ribbon bow wall hook hanger up all year round.

Try and look past the fact it’s been photographed in front of a towel. How fabulous would this metal folk art candle holder look on the mantle?
